A short video about the Marathon Paddle Challenge by SignHealth

SignHealth is the charity partner of SignVideo, the company I work for. Each year our staff members take on challenges to fundraise for SignHealth who do great work supporting the health and wellbeing of the Deaf community.  I wanted to take part in a challenge to support the work of SignHealth and gave some consideration as to what I could do.  As my passion is canoe slalom I decided to complete a paddling challenge. After some thought I decided upon a paddling the equivalent distance of a marathon, with the excitement of whitewater.  I approached staff at Lee Valley about this and we worked out that to complete the distance of 26 miles I need to complete 42 laps of the lake and the Olympic whitewater course!  I am currently in training for this immense challenge.
